The City of Crown Point

I am currently the City of Crown Point's communications/media manager. My responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing social media accounts for all City of Crown Point entities; working with local media; writing press releases/media advisories; coordinating press conferences/ribbon cuttings/groundbreakings; shooting photo and video; designing creative to market City events through traditional and digital media; producing internal and external newsletters; and editing the mayor's monthly podcast, Lay of the Land.

When I joined the City of Crown Point, I redesigned the City's quarterly newsletter. I make small changes with each edition. You can find copies of The Hub here.

Social Media

As the City's communications/media manager, I help maintain the City's seven social media accounts. I am the primary content creator for the City's Facebook page, @CityofCrownPointIN, but also help create content for our public safety social media accounts.

As the City's communications/media manager, I take photos at events hosted by the City, as well as events hosted at City venues. I currently shoot with Nikon, but also have experience shooting with Canon.
